Zesty Italian Soup Crockpot Recipe



Ingredients needed:

* 1 lb. bulk Italian sausage
* 3 cans of reduced-sodium chicken broth (14 1/2 oz. each)
* 1 can of black beans, rinsed and drained
* 1 can of pinto beans, rinsed and drained
* 1 can of diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
* 1 can of Italian diced tomatoes
* 1 large carrot, chopped
* 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
* 1 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
* 1 teaspoon of dried minced garlic
* 1 1/2 cups of cooked elbow macaroni

Preparation steps:

* In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
* Transfer to crockpot. Stir in the broth, beans, tomatoes, carrot, jalapeno, Italian seasoning and garlic.
* Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours. Just before serving, stir in macaroni.
