Asian Beef Stew Crockpot Recipe



Ingredients needed:

* 2 onions, cut into 1/4-inch slices
* 1 1/2 pounds round steak, sliced thin across the grain
* 2 stalks of celery, sliced
* 2 carrots, peeled and sliced or 1 cup of peeled baby carrots
* 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
* 1 cup of orange juice
* 1 cup of beef broth
* 1/3 cup of hoisin sauce
* 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
* 1 to 2 teaspoons of curry powder
* 1 cup of frozen peas
* Hot cooked rice
* Chopped fresh cilantro, optional

Preparation steps:

* Place onions, beef, celery, carrots and mushrooms into crockpot.
* Combine orange juice, broth, hoisin sauce, cornstarch and curry powder in a small bowl. Pour into crockpot.
* Cover and cook on high for 5 hours.
* Stir in peas. Cook 20 minutes longer.
* Serve with hot cooked rice, and garnish with cilantro, if desired.
